• Consultation: $150

  Initial screening: 30 minute video or in- person consultation on your claim.

• Diagnostic Exam: $500

  Initial Screening + Diagnostic Interview + Review of Records + informal feedback

• DBQ - $800

  all of the above + VA DBQ signed and returned to you to submit with your claim to the VA

• DBQ + Nexus Letter $950

  all of the above + Nexus Opinion statement

  This is a psychological consultation ONLY. It is NOT legal advice

• In the initial consultation, we we will discuss the elements of your mental health history, your reasons for a claim, and discussing whether or not the below steps are appropriate in your specific case pertinent only to your psychological functioning (not other medical conditions).

  • If you are looking for legal advice on how to argue your case successfully and/or preparation support for your claim, please contact an attorney and/or VSO.

• $500 Diagnostic interview + review of records (supplied by veteran) + informal findings discussed verbally. This is usually an hour of time in office (or via tele-health) plus time to review your DoD, VA, or other healthcare records.

• $800 for both of the above and a DBQ filled out per VA guidelines returned to you to submit with your claim.

  • The VA has a template to b used and your information will be taken and placed into that format for you to turn in. We will schedule a phone call with review of the file together prior to you submitting

• $950 for all of the above plus a nexus letter with opinion to accompany a DBQ/interview

  • A nexus letter from a qualified psychologist/mental health specialist trained in C&P methods. This is the recommended pathway for new claims and appeal claims.

• If you seek a 2nd opinion on a decided rating decision please start with the initial consultation option to discuss the prior decision.

• It is a good idea to have your entire VA/DoD “e-file” in your possession and viewable prior to this phone call. Dr. Scalise will give you straightforward feedback if the present would complicate a nexus opinion (if that is what you are seeking)

• Consultations beyond the 30min initial call billed on 30min increments

• Dr Scalise devotes considerable time and attention to these cases and has been successful in helping many veterans establish or appeal decisions. Please remember that VA Policy for these evaluations reflects laws and guidelines established by the U.S Congress. These reports must sometimes deal with contradictory information and abide by guidelines established by VA C&P policy in addition to ethical practice for psychologists.
